The American company Orion Span announced that it is preparing to open its first luxury space hotel in 2022. They are planning to put the first luxury space hotel, which they call Aurora Station, into orbit in 2021.
This space hotel will be able to host four visitors and two astronauts at the same time. People who can pay $10 million for a two-week holiday program will be able to go to Aurora after a two-year training period.
Reservations have already started to be taken for the space hotel, which will orbit our planet, just like the International Space Station (ISS). While customers are asked for a deposit of 80 thousand dollars, the cost of the actual journey per person corresponds to 9.5 million dollars.
The greatest privilege the hotel will offer will be being able to watch the unique world view.
Sunrises and sunsets will be available to watch.
Guests will also be able to participate in plant growing activities in space.
And of course, they will have the opportunity to experience the indescribable feeling of the zero-gravity environment.
It is clear that space tourism appeals to the ultra-rich.
Unfortunately, if we do not get rich and turn the corner, so to speak, by 2022, we will not have the chance to experience the privileges of space tourism mentioned above. 🙂
